Neck Details: Maple neck with bound rosewood fingerboard and white pearloid triangle inlays. Rounded triangle inlays date this bass after 1970.
Electronics: The bridge pickup and its pots have been replaced. Original Rickenbacker neck pickup and Seymour Duncan SRB-1b bridge humbucker pickup, 3-way selector switch, two volume controls, two tone controls, two outputs (standard and ric-o-sound). Neck pickup pot codes date to 1978 and 1977. The original bridge pickup is included, but needs to be rewound.

Hardware: Original. Bridge pickup ashtray cover and mounting ring have been removed but are included in case.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Rickenbacker 4001 bass is in good cosmetic condition with beautiful aging and authentic play wear. There are various dings, finish checking and worn finish throughout. There is some seam separation and finish checking along the length of the back of the neck and body. This is stable and not affecting playability.
