The XPT1400TW is a twin-neck Xiphos seriessolid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2010. It is part of the X series.
The XPT1400TW was part of the 2010 show case for the various trade shows such as the NAMM Show and the Musikmesse Frankfurt and later part of the 2010 Limited Edition series.
The XPT1400TW is a combination of the XPT700six-string and XPT707FX seven-string model.

It’s a good thing that Ibanez the XPT1400 is a limited Double Neck edition special model of the Xiphos series with a 6- String and a String Wizard II 7-neck and DiMarzio DActivator humbuckers !
Pickups & Hardware
Both necks of the XPT1400 are equipped with passive D-Activator or D-Activator-7 humbuckers from the house DiMarzio in neck and bridge position, which are famous for their aggressive sound. In the neck position, on the other hand, the sound becomes creamy warm with good treble definition. The 7- String Neck has a fixed Gibraltar Custom 7 Bridge as a bridge, while the String 6-neck has its own Edge III tremolo system.
Tonewoods & Necks
The limited XPT1400 has a special edition mahogany Xiphos construction with two wide cut horns for the ideal balance on the lap and belt. Both necks surprise with the ultra slim and coveted Ibanez Wizard II neck profile for nimble licks and fast runs and are made of 5 pieces of maple and walnut.
